Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, on the occasion of Pakistan’s independence day, visited a special visit to the substructure technology park here, which expressed strong dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work and instructs authorities to speed up its completion.
This was the prime minister’s third inspection of the project, which was originally scheduled to be completed by March 23, 2025, but has been subjected to delays, says a Prime Minister’s office news.
He reprimanded the on -site officials and emphasized that the park must be completed within the revised timeline while meeting international quality standards.
“Provide the supply of world -class facilities and doubled your efforts to complete this project according to the original instructions,” the prime minister told the project managers.
The IT park, which consists of two underground floors, a ground floor and nine upper floors, has office space, an incubation center, a business support center, F&U laboratories, a level III data center, an auditorium and parking for 1,200 vehicles. It is expected to create employment opportunities for youth, increase economic growth, improve Pakistan’s global IT competitiveness and bridge over the digital gap.

PM Shehbaz repeats Friday Pakistan’s desire to improve trade and people-to-people contacts with Bangladesh, called for further strengthening of bilateral cooperation in political, economic and cultural spheres.
The Prime Minister at a meeting with High Commissioner for the People’s Republic Bangladesh MD. Iqbal Hussain Khan, who paid a courtesy call on him, expressed satisfaction over the growing commitment between Pakistan and Bangladesh across different domains.
While remembering his “warm and productive” interaction with the main adviser for Bangladesh Dr. Mohammad Yunus, including their last meeting in Cairo in the margins at the D-8 summit last December, expressed the satisfaction of resuscating various bilateral mechanisms between the two sides.
