Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to “volunteer heroes” for selfless donation of blood, emphasized the need for increased public awareness of the critical need for regular blood donations for patients.
“There is a need for increased public awareness of the critical need for regular blood donations for patients undergoing surgery, childbirth and for those suffering from serious suffering such as cancer and anemia,” the prime minister said in his message to the nation of World Blood Donor Day annually reminiscent of June 14.
“Together we make more secure, protected and healthier Pakistan,” he added.
