Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced to provide significant relief from the electricity bills while keeping petroleum prices unchanged, Express News reported.

Prime Minister said that instead of reducing fuel prices, the economic margin created by global oil price fluctuations would be used to lower electricity stars.

“This is one of several measures we take to bring meaningful reductions in electricity rates,” he said. “A comprehensive and effective strategy is completed to ensure lower power tariffs.”

The government is ready to reveal a relief package in the coming weeks and utilize the economic space created by global oil price variations and other economic measures.

PM Shehbaz confirmed its administration’s obligation to prioritize public relief and said the future power -tarifs would also help limit inflation.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, Shehbaz Sharif will soon turn to the nation to outline the relief measures.
