PM Laud’s KSA’s role in ceasefire with India

Islamabad:

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday appreciated the efforts of Saudi Arabia for peace in the Middle East as well as its significant role in the ceasefire between Pakistan and India.

The Prime Minister said this at a meeting with the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad Nawaf bin Saeed Al Malkiy, while he lovingly remembers his warm and heartfelt telephone conversation with the Saudi Crown Prince on June 24 to discuss the regional situation.

He conveyed his respectful greeting to the custodian of the two holy mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud and Saudi crown prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohamed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud.

The Prime Minister told the ambassador that when Pakistan had taken over the rotating Presidency of the UN Security Council in July, it would rely on Saudi Arabia’s support to ensure that its employment period was carried out smoothly and successfully.

The Saudi ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for Pakistan’s role in peace and stability in the region.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomes the Ministry of Finance and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) on Wednesday for having achieved a historic 42% increase in federal tax revenue in the 2024-25 financial year – the highest increase in the last decade.

The Prime Minister was chairman of a weekly high -level review meeting on digitization and reform agenda for FBR, while during the briefing it was revealed that reforms and enforcement of new tax law enabled the government to raise a further RS ​​865 billion in revenue compared to the previous year, an eight -fold increase.
