Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz in Makkah during a two-day official visit Friday. The meeting experienced a constructive exchange of views on strengthening bilateral cooperation across political, economic and security domains.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the meeting confirmed strategic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, where both leaders highlighted the importance of continuing their strong partnership.
Premier Sharif expanded heartfelt eid greetings to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who praises the Kingdom of Hospitality and unique service to Hajj Pilgrims from all over the world.
The statement also expanded gratitude for the efforts of the manager of the two holy mosques and the crown prince, ensuring a safe and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage experience.

PM expressed appreciation of Saudi -Arabia’s proactive role in mitigating tension between Pakistan and India. He praised the Kingdom’s steadfast commitment to promote peace and stability in the region and beyond.
When he highlights Pakistan’s policy for responsible restraint in the light of Indian aggression, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that sustainable peace in South Asia can only be achieved through dialogue and cooperation.
PM SHARIF expressed satisfaction with the growing momentum of these partnerships and reiterated that both countries remain obliged to raise this strategic relationship to new heights.
The two leaders agreed to further adapt their efforts with the common vision of leadership and the ambitions of the fraternal people in both nations, noted the statement.
The premiere expanded an invitation to the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan as soon as possible, as he accepted, which strengthened the mutual obligation to elaborate on the multifaceted ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The two also approached the serious humanitarian situation in Gaza. Both leaders emphasized the need for the international community to fulfill its moral and legal obligations to end the disorder and repeated their unwavering support for a fair and sustainable solution to the Palestinian question.
They emphasized the importance of the Arab peace initiative and the relevant UN Security Council’s solutions as the basis of any lasting solution, the statement added.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Head of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, and Minister of Information Attaullah Tarar.

Formerly Prime Minister Sharif and Field Marshal Munir, along with senior ministers Umrah, performed late Thursday night during the official visit to Saudi Arabia.
In a rare gesture, the door to the Holy Kaaba in Makkah was specifically opened to the visiting Pakistani delegation. The leaders offered Nawafil beans and expressed gratitude for what they described as success for Bunyanum Marsoos, a reference to ongoing efforts to national unity and resilience.
During the Holy Pilgrimage Journey, the Prime Minister and his delegation also offered special thanks for recent development in Pakistan’s economic and social sectors. A connection to the nation’s continued prosperity and stability was given.
