Lahore:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has corrected the early completion of Policy Vehicles (EV) policy 2025 in consultation with all stakeholders and its immediate presentation before the federal cabinet.
He issued the directives while chairing a high -level meeting on Saturday to review the political framework for promoting the electric vehicle industry and use in the country.
During the meeting, the draft of the electric vehicle policy 2025 was thoroughly discussed. The Prime Minister emphasized the need for fast and prioritized based measures to promote electric motorcycles, scooters, tricycle, cars and buses over Pakistan.
He also emphasized the importance of creating charging infrastructure, including charging stations and battery exchange facilities, to support the expansion of the EV Øcosystem.
In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz instructed that relevant industries should be facilitated to improve the local production capacity for electric two -wheeled wheels and tricycle.
The meeting attended the federal ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain, Ahmad Khan Cheema, Muhammad Aurangzeb, special assistant Haroon Akhtar and other senior government officials.
Saad Rafiq
Former Federal Minister and Senior PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique urged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday.
During the meeting, Rafique congratulated the prime minister of presenting a public friendly federal budget and described it as a positive step towards financial stability and much needed relief to the people.
The two leaders also held a detailed discussion about the current political situation in the country and confirmed their obligation to tackle national challenges through unity and democratic dialogue.
Youth Empowerment
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has repeated that giving young people quality education, skills and employment opportunities is still one of the government’s highest priorities.
He made the comments during a meeting with President Prime Minister’s youth program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, who called him on Saturday.
