Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday emphasized that the delivery of important foods to the population at affordable prices was the highest priority for the government.
He also instructed the relevant authorities to prepare a comprehensive strategy to ensure the availability of food at affordable prices under Ramazan.
He said that the federal and provincial governments had to cooperate to ensure the delivery of edible objects at reasonable prices to the ordinary man.
The Prime Minister was chairman of the meeting in the cabinet in the PM house.
He highlighted his government’s boring efforts to achieve sustainable economic growth based on improved productivity and industrial structure.
The Prime Minister made the opening markings at the meeting in the federal cabinet, which was chairman of him, referring to his interaction with the CEO of the IMF in Dubai, who valued Team Pakistan for his commendable efforts to implement the IMF program and, in amicably, achieve financial financial Economic indicators.

The cabinet approved, on the recommendation of the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, the appointment of Dr. Hassan al-Amin (BS-21) as director of the National Institute of Pakistan Studies at Quaid-E-Azam University, Islamabad. The cabinet was informed that his appointment was made on profits through a transparent system.
The cabinet approved, during recommendation from the Ministry of Finance, the appointment of Tahira Raza to a non-performing member of the State Bank of Pakistan for a period of five years.
Likewise, the cabinet, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, approved the strategy of interreligious harmonip policy and religious tolerance.
The cabinet was told that a sub -committee presented the recommendation after reviewing the strategy for the harmonip policy and religious tolerance of Interreligion.
Dialogues and conferences with regard to religious tolerance would be held, and public consciousness campaigns would also be run under politics.
An action plan regarding the security of the rights of religious minorities is also part of the policy. Furthermore, under the religious tolerance strategy, measures will be taken to prevent hate material and literature in addition to preparing an action plan to solve different sectarian differences.
Following the recommendation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, the cabinet approved the appointment of Laila Ilyas Kalpana and Satwant Kaur as female members of the Evacuee Trust Property Board.
The federal cabinet also approved, with reference from the income department, the signing of the original draft of the Convention between the Government in Pakistan and the Iraq’s government on the elimination of double taxation of income tax and capital, as well as measures to prevent tax evasion and taxable non -compliance.
Cabinet ratified the decisions made in the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting held on February 3, 2025.
