In a meeting with Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday assured Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that the government’s obligations would be honored and that all concerns raised by PPP would be treated accordingly, Express News reported.
During the meeting, the PPP delegation expressed objections to the controversial channel projects and highlighted security concerns in the Kurram district. PPP also expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of relief for flood victims in Balochistan.
PM Shehbaz reassured the delegation that the government’s obligation to solve the issues related to the channels, security in Kurram, and help with flood -affected people in Balochistan would be fulfilled.
In a statement after the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz PPP praised his active and dynamic role in meeting the public’s expectations across all provinces and cooperation with the federal government for improving the lives of ordinary citizens.
PM emphasized the importance of cooperation between the federal and provincial governments as well as all political parties to ensure a brighter future for the country.
The PPP delegation included prominent leaders such as Senate President Yusuf Raza Gilani, Naveed Qamar, Raja Perez Ashraf and other senior party members.
