Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in World Governments Summit (WGS) in Dubai.
On invitation from UAE -Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister Shehbaz will join global leaders, decision makers and the private sector to discuss governance, innovation and international cooperation, according to a statement from Pakistan’s foreign office.
He is accompanied by a high -level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and other key cabinet members who reflect Pakistan’s obligation to strengthen the tape with UAE and engage in global partners.
During the summit, the Prime Minister is expected to provide a main address that outlines Pakistan’s vision for inclusive economic growth, digital transformation and government reforms.
He will also hold bilateral meetings with the UAE management as well as interact with heads of state and multinational CEOs participating in the event.
“Pakistan and UAE share a deeply rooted relationship based on mutual trust and cooperation,” said the Foreign Office, adding that UAE remains an important economic and strategic partner for Pakistan across several sectors.
The visit comes as Pakistan tries to improve economic cooperation and attract foreign investment.
