Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Baku on Sunday for a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan.
Upon arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Senior Azerbaijan officials, including the first Deputy Prime Minister Yaqub Abdulla Oğlu Eyyubov, Deputy Secretary of Foreign Minister Farkhadov, Pakistan Ambassador to Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farkhadov, Pakistan Ambassador two Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin and other Senior Dignitarian.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will hold high -level meetings with the president of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and other senior Azerbaijan officials.
Discussions will focus on further strengthening bilateral connections, expanding trade and investments, improving cooperation in the energy sector, synerging efforts to deal with climate change, elaborating defense cooperation and promoting cultural exchanges.
Several Agreement Memorandumes (Mous) and agreements are expected to be signed, which further strengthens the partnership between the two countries.
As part of his engagements, Prime Minister Shehbaz and the Azerbaijanian leadership will also address Pakistan-Azerbaijan Business Forum, which is scheduled for Monday.
The forum will bring together business leaders from both countries to explore opportunities for joint ventures and trade and investment opportunities and emphasize collaboration on business-to-business (B2B).
Pakistan and Azerbaijan share a prolonged band of fraternity, supported by shared values and ordinary hopes. This visit emphasizes both nations’ obligation to elaborate on their bilateral ties, improve economic cooperation and promote regional cooperation.
The premiere is accompanied by a high -level ministerial delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister of Trade Jam Kamal Khan, Investment Minister and Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan, Minister of Overseas Pakistani and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar and special assistant to Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi.
