Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehabz Sharif will take on a two-day official visit to Azerbaijan from February 24 to February 25 on invitation from President Ilham Aliyev, the Foreign Office said.
According to the statement, which was released on Saturday, this will be PM Shehbaz’s second visit to Azerbaijan since the acquisition of the office in March 2024.
He will be accompanied by a high -level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and other key members in the cabinet, reflecting Pakistan’s strong commitment to elaborating on his commitment with Azerbaijan.
During the visit, the two sides will participate in extensive discussions about areas of mutual interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation, especially in energy, trade, defense, education and climate sectors.
During the visit, the two sides are expected to sign more mous and agreements in several areas of cooperation.
The Prime Minister is also expected to hold a keynote speaker under a business forum organized in collaboration with Export and Investment Promotion Agency for the Republic of Azerbaijan (Azpromo).
During the visit, the Prime Minister, together with the President of Azerbaijan, will also visit Fuzuli (Karabakh) as part of a special visit to the liberated territories in Karabakh.
