Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered a third -party audit by Prime Minister Ramadan Relief Package 2025 to ensure transparency in the fund distribution, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office.
The decision was made during a review meeting that was chairman of the Prime Minister, where officials informed him of progress with the relief package.
Officials informed the meeting that 63% of justified recipients have already received financial assistance with detailed documentation available for all payments.
A total of 2,224 employees have been assigned to supervise the package’s implementation.
In addition, more than 1.5 million recipients have been contacted by phone to facilitate the process.
The Prime Minister confirmed that the relief program covers the entire Pakistan, including Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, without discrimination.
Shehbaz praised State Bank of Pakistan, Nadra and Technology companies to ensure a safe and efficient digital wallet system to distribute funds. He instructed this model to also be adopted for other government’s welfare initiatives.
In addition, he instructed telecommunications companies and banks to improve their public consciousness campaigns regarding the program and submit a comprehensive report on their efforts.
The meeting attended the senior government, including Federal Minister of National Food Safety Rana Tanveer Hussain, Minister of Economic Affairs Ahsan Iqbal, Minister of Information Atta Tarar, and the Minister of Shaza Fatima together with Nadra, PTA, PTA and the private sector involved in the program.
