Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the underpatient technology park in Islamabad on Thursday and expressed dissatisfaction with the slow work of the work and instructed the authorities to speed up the construction process and ensure that its completion within the originally set timeframe.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, the leading of the strategic significance of the project for Pakistan’s economic and technological development emphasized. He emphasized that the plant must meet international standards, both in infrastructure and services, to perform its intended role in promoting the country’s digital economy.
“All stakeholders must speed up their efforts to end the Technology Park at the earliest,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz during the visit. “This project is critical of the growth of Pakistan’s IT sector, establishing jobs for our youth and overall progress in the national economy.”

Officials informed the Prime Minister about the scope and functions of the project. The facility includes two basement levels, a ground floor and nine upper floors. It is designed for the house office office, an incubation center, a business support center, research and development laboratories, a level III data center and an auditorium. Parking space has also been provided that accommodates up to 1,200 vehicles.
During the briefing, it was emphasized that the Technology Park is expected to play a key role in creating employment opportunities for the country’s youth, increasing Pakistan’s global competitiveness in the IT sector and contributing to sustainable economic growth. The project also aims to bridge the digital gap and provide a platform for innovation, entrepreneurship and research.
The premiere repeated its government’s obligation to support the tech industry and called for strict compliance with timelines. He called for improved coordination between all affected departments and ordered regular status reports to be submitted to the Prime Minister’s office.
“There is no room for delays in such national important projects,” he said. “We invest in Pakistan’s future. An advanced technology park will not only attract foreign investment, but also help exploit the potential of our talented youth.”
