Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday inaugurated the new Recep Tayyip Erdogan exchange near F-8 and F-9 sectors that recognized the fast and successful completion of the project in a record 84 days.
During the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister praised the efforts of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Islamabad’s administration and contractors to implement the exchange before the plan and under the originally estimated costs.
The project, originally scheduled to take six months, was completed at a price of RS 3,655 million, which is lower than the original budget of RS 4,000 million.
PM Shehbaz stated that the newly built exchange will help facilitate traffic jams and easier smoother travel for the capital’s residents. He also noted that the project would help connect key roads and improve access to other areas such as sector G-8, G-9, Kashmir Highway and Centaurus Mall, which benefit an estimated 70,000 vehicles per year. Day.
In addition, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that plans to beautify the city would be implemented in collaboration with the Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, focusing on improving the quality of life for Islamabad’s residents.
The exchange, named after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, follows the recent visit of Erdogan in Pakistan, where the prime minister revealed a plaque to mark the apartment. The prime minister mentioned that he would send the inauguration ceremony to President Erdogan as a sign of appreciation for his friendship with Pakistan.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized in his speech that the project was completed for a very short period because of the prime minister’s direction and leadership. Mohsin Naqvi also revealed plans for a large-scale plantation drive to tackle air pollution and smog problems in the city, which begins next month.
The 1.3 -kilometer downfall was completed in 42 days, while the 1.1 -kilometer flight was also built as part of the project. The exchange will reduce traffic significantly at F-8 Chowk, where approx. 41,000 vehicles passed daily before the end of the project.
