Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, together with a high-level delegation, performed on Saturday during his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Punjab chief minister Maryam Nawaz also participated in the Umrah rituals and joined Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The prime minister, who arrived in Makkah on Friday, also offered Nawafil beans in Saint Kaaba and sought blessings for progress and prosperity in Pakistan and its people as well as to improve the Muslim Ummah.
Earlier in Madina Munawara, Prime Minister Sharif paid his respect at Roza-E-Rasool (peace be with him) and performed Nawafil beans at Masjid-E-Nabawi.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah on Wednesday for a four-day visit to Saudi Arabia, aiming to elaborate on bilateral trade and strengthen economic cooperation.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Prime Minister was welcomed by Prince Saud Bin Mishaal Bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah, upon his arrival.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has postponed his planned visit to Saudi Arabia due to health concerns.
According to reports, party sources confirmed that Nawaz Sharif’s doctors have advised him to avoid flights, which led to the cancellation of his journey. His personal doctor, Dr. Adnan, completes daily medical control.
