This marks his second visit to Azerbaijan since he took office in March 2024. He will be accompanied by a high -level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar together with key cabinet members, reflecting Pakistan’s obligation to elaborate on the tape with Azerbaijan.

During the visit, both sides will hold discussions about energy, trade, defense, education and climate cooperation. Several agreements and Mous are expected to be signed to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Azerbaijan remains an important economic and strategic partner for Pakistan with a strong collaboration across several sectors. The visit emphasizes Pakistan’s obligation to expand ties and promote financial cooperation.

Prime Minister Shehbaz is also scheduled to hold a keynote speaker at a business forum organized in partnership with Azerbaijan’s export and investment-promoting agency (AZPROMO). In addition, he and President Aliyev will visit Fuzuli as part of a special tour of the liberated territories in Karabakh.

The visit aims to improve financial ties, explore new opportunities for collaboration and confirm Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan.
