Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is ready to lead Pakistan’s delegation to the high -level segment of the 80th session in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, which is scheduled from 22 to 26 September 2025, according to the Foreign Office.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, cabinet members and senior officials.
At its address at the general meeting, the Prime Minister is expected to call on the international community to solve long -term situations with occupation and denial of self -determination in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine.

He will pay special attention to the deteriorating crisis in Gaza and calls for crucial global act to end the suffering of the Palestinian people.
His speech will also formulate Pakistan’s perspective on regional security, climate change, terrorism, Islamophobia and sustainable development.
In addition to the general debate, Prime Minister Sharif will participate in a number of high -level engagements on the sidelines of the session. These include meetings of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), a high -level meeting of the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and a special high -level event on climate measures.
PM is also scheduled to participate in a selected group of Islamic leaders in a meeting with US President Donald Trump to discuss urgent questions about regional and international peace and security.
During his stay, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral conversations with several world leaders and senior UN officials to exchange views on mutual concern issues.
He will repeat Pakistan’s willingness to work with all UN Member States to maintain the UN -Charter, prevent conflict, promote peace and promote global prosperity, especially in Pakistan’s ongoing role as a member of UNSC.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Prime Minister’s participation in the world’s largest annual collection of leaders will confirm Pakistan’s permanent commitment to multilateralism, the United Nations and its long -standing contribution to international peace, stability and development
