Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Jui-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s residence in Islamabad on Thursday in a gesture of goodwill to ask about the latter health.
In addition to health checks, the meeting also provided an opportunity for both leaders to participate in discussions on crucial national and political affairs. The negotiations emphasized the importance of dialogue and collaboration to tackle pressing problems that the country is facing.
In considerable political development, the visit follows a recent invitation from PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf) to Jui-F and calls for a common movement against the current government.
PTI leaders including Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser, SaHibzada Hamid Raza, Salman Akram Raja and Akhunzada Hussain, met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman to expand the offer. The delegation called on Jui-F to collaborate on efforts to challenge the government.
In response, the Rehman PTI representatives assured that his party would consult internally before deciding the case. This marks a potential shift in political alliances where both parties discuss the opportunity to work together in the future.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by federal ministers Ahsan Iqbal and Attaullah Tarar, while the Jui-F leader valued the Prime Minister’s visit and thanked him for his concern.
