Islamabad:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to take on an official two-day visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Thursday to express gratitude to the Saudi leadership of his constructive role in stepping down the recent conflict between Pakistan and India.
PM’s visit coincides with Eidul Azha and will be accompanied by a high -level delegation that emphasizes the importance of the trip.

According to the declaration made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, during a visit, Premier Sharif will hold talks with Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The most important areas of discussion will include improving bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, promoting the welfare of Muslim Ummah and the addressing of regional peace and security concerns.
The Prime Minister is also expected to express gratitude to the Saudi leadership of his constructive role in stepping down the recent conflict between Pakistan and India, highlighting the importance of Saudi Arabia’s support to promote peace in the region.
“This visit emphasizes the deeply rooted, time-tested ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, rooted in shared faith, mutual respect and strategic partnership. It confirms the management’s obligation to elaborate on the economic and diplomatic commitment adapted to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Pakistan’s developmental priorities,” read the declaration.
Last week, Premier Sharif ended a diplomatic tour where they visited four countries to strengthen regional partnerships in the wake of increased tension with India.
The trip served as an important opportunity for Pakistan to personally express his gratitude to these nations for their support during recent escalation. The trip focused on reinforcing bilateral ties and promoting peace, where PM thanks Key Allies for their role in reducing the situation with India.
