PMD emits early warning of rain, thunderstorm in Karachi

Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning of early weather, prediction of rain and thunderstorms in Karachi and other parts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday.

According to MET Office, certain suburban areas in Karachi may receive showers accompanied by Thunder Monday night or Tuesday. Gusty Vind is also expected during precipitation in peripheral areas on Tuesday.

The department said a western weather system affects the top regions of the country, while moisture -stressed winds enter eastern parts of Sindh.

Under its influence, scattered light for moderate rain with thunder is probably probably in districts, including Ghotki, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Qambar Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Dadu, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad and Tharparkar.

Between June 16 and 17, rain is also expected in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Thatta, Sujawal and Badin.

The maximum temperature can vary between 36 ° C and 38 ° C. Moisture levels can reach up to 80% in the morning and 55% in the evening.

On the other hand, PMD said a western weather system will continue to influence the country through Monday.

While most of Punjab will remain hot and dry, insulated areas including murree, lahore, rawalpindi and multan, can see dust storms and thunderstorms. Scattered rain is also expected in Kashmir.
