Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain over Punjab, including Lahore, from February 19.

A weather system is expected to enter the region on February 18, bringing showers to the provincial capital and other areas, Express News reported.

According to the department, Lahore, who is currently experiencing dry and relatively cold weather, is probably raining on Wednesday, February 19th.

The minimum temperature in Lahore today was registered at 10 ° C, with the maximum expected to reach 24 ° C.

Meanwhile, Karachi has experienced an increase in temperatures.

Yesterday the city saw a maximum of 33.2 ° C. Road experts also warned about fog conditions and limited visibility in Karachi over the weekend, which can affect road traffic.

With the new weather system that is expected to bring rain, the residents of Lahore and other parts of Punjab are preparing for cooler and wetter conditions in the coming days.

Previously, it was reported that cold weather had tightened its grip on Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa with several districts that received rain, and some upper regions that recorded up to 17 inches of snowfall.

The temperature continued to fall, which made conditions harder for the residents.

According to the meteorological department, rain and snowfall are expected to continue in the upper and lower chitral, upper and lower DIR, SWAT, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan, Battagtram, Mansehra, Khyber and Kurram districts.

Most parts of the province remained cold and partially cloudy.

Rain was recorded in Chitral, Kohistan, Bajaur, Dir and Swat, while snowfall covered the mountainous areas of chitral and swat.

The heaviest snowfall was reported in Kalam, where 17 inches were registered. Malam Jabba received two inches while chitral registered an inch. The lowest temperatures were also noticed in these areas, with parachute device at -4 ° C, Malam Jabba at -2 ° C and Kalam at -1 ° C.

With more expected rain and snowfall in the coming days, the authorities have advised the residents of the affected areas to take the necessary precautions.

Murree will be the coldest location where temperatures drop to -2 ° C at night. The humidity level in Hill Station is 57%. Meanwhile, larger urban centers, including Lahore, Faisalabad and Multan, will see minimum temperatures between 8 ° C and 11 ° C.

In southern Punjab, Bahawalpur will have the highest humidity of 94%with temperatures ranging between 8 ° C and 11 ° C. Dera Ghazi Khan and Multan will experience similar conditions where heights reach 10 ° C.

Rawalpindi, Attock and Chakwal will look cooler mornings, with minimum temperatures hovering between 5 ° C and 7 ° C. Jhelum and Sargodha will have slightly warmer conditions with low 8 ° C to 10 ° C.
