Islamabad:
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has expected rain and thunderstorms with strong winds in Islamabad, parts of Sindh, southern Punjab, Kashmir, northeastern and southern Balochistan and upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from Monday (today).
According to PMD, hot and humid weather lasted in most parts of the country over the last 24 hours. Heavy rain is expected in parts of southern Sindh, eastern Balochistan and Kashmir, while the rest of the country remains warm and humid.
In Islamabad and the surrounding areas, the weather probably remains partially cloudy and humid with chances of rain at night. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are expected to remain warm and humid, but dir, swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kurram and Waziristan may experience scattered rain with thunderstorms and gusty wind.
In Punjab, the weather remains partially cloudy and humid. However, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur and Dera Ghazi Khan can receive rain and thunderstorms. Rawal Pindi, Murree, Galyat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and the surrounding areas are also expected to receive rain with thunderstorms.
In Sindh, the areas of Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Tharparkar, Badin, Sujawal, Umerkot, Chhachhro, Padidan, Khairpur, Karachi, Thatta, Ghotki, Chhor, Sukkur, Kashmore, Shikarpur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Nausshahro Feroze, Sannhar, Dadu, Dadu, Dadu, Dadu, Dadu, Dadu, Dadu, Dadu, Dadu, Hyderabe, Hyderabad, Jacobabad, Larkana Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Matiari and Shaheed Benazirabad are expected to receive rain with thunderstorms, with some areas that are likely to experience heavy rain.
In Balochistan, most regions will remain warm and moist, but Barkhan, Sibi, Kohlu, Musakhel, Killa Saifullah, Loralai, Dera Bugti, Nasirabad, Zhob, Kalat, Khuzdar, Awaran and Lasbela May witness Thunderorms.
For Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partially cloudy weather is expected with rain and thunderstorms. Heavy rain is probably in isolated places in Kashmir.
Citizens are advised to remain aware during thunderstorm activity and avoid unnecessary journeys in areas where heavy rain and gusty wind are expected.
