PML-N says not closed doors on lectures

Islamabad:

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has said that the reigning PML-N has never interrupted his conversations with Imran Khan’s PTI and that the two parties have been in contact.

“We [the government] Have never closed the door on conversations, “Sadiq said Friday during an information interaction with journalists outside the Punjab assembly.

The speaker relieved rare conversations between PML-N and PTI, which started in December and culminated after three rounds after PTI announced withdrawn from the debate.

Sadiq said PML-N has never dissolved his negotiation team.

He claimed that the PTI negotiation team will resume the process when it has received approval from its management. “The two parties are still in contact,” he said, adding that PTI’s imprisoned founder, Imran Khan, is “a tough guy.”

The government and PTI agreed to hold conversations to put an end to a continuous political crisis at a meeting between Sadiq and PTI leader and former NA speaker Asad Qaiser.

During the negotiations, PTI required the formation of legal commissions to investigate the incidents that happened on May 9, 2023 and November 26, 2024.

In the last week of January, however, PTI unexpectedly went away from the table and linked further meetings with the formation of legal commissions.
