PML-N’s Azma Bukhari Horse PTI to low turnout at Swabi Rally

Punjab’s Information Minister Azma Bukhari has criticized Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) for not attracting a significant amount in his recent demonstration in Swabi and claiming that the party even with official resources could not gather 5,000 people.

Bukhari said the people of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) had rejected PTI founder’s policy for “Unrest and chaos.”

She claimed that government employees were made to mark participation at the event, yet the turnout remained low.

“Junaid Akbar has failed his first political test miserly, while Ali Amin Gandapur once again resorts to cruelty to please PTI’s founder,” she noted.

She also claimed that Punjab’s youth benefited from initiatives such as electrical bicycles and scholarships, and that KP’s young population deserved the same opportunities.

She announced that PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz would soon introduce scholarships to students in the province.

Bukhari added that the public, after the failed rebellion on May 9 and November 26, had grown tired of PTI’s protest-driven politics and claimed Pakistan was on a path to improvement during Sharifs management.

On February 8th, PTI staged a rally in Swabi, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, to observe “Black day ”It marks a year since the parliamentary elections. The party claims its mandate during the election was stolen.

The rally was also attended by Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur and other party leaders.
