PN strategy causes Indian carrier to retreat

Karachi:

The Indian airline, Ins Vikrant, withdrew to a naval base after only spending a few days in the high seas, reportedly because of Pakistan Navy’s ‘Anti-Access and Area-Denial Strategy,’ sources said Sunday.

According to the latest satellite information (Imint) images taken on April 26, Vikrant was seen reorganized in Karwar Port. The airline had been deployed in the Arabian Sea in response to rising tension between Pakistan and India.

Indian media and social media had been amazed at the deployment of Vikrant. However, the Indian Navy decided to remember the airline after the ongoing presence and continuous patrol of Pakistan Navy vessels.

The sources confirmed that Vikrant had been observed in the Northern Arabian Sea near Pakistani maritime borders on April 23. It was then reported to have returned to Karwar Naval Base on April 25, with the recent satellite images confirming its anchoring ashore.

According to the sources, an airline is not deployed into the high seas for just a few days, but if Pakistan Navy’s “Carrier Killer” missile systems are active at sea, they added, “Retreat is the only safe option”.
