Now that Nintendo Switch 2 is only a few weeks away from the launch on June 5 (no, we can hardly believe it, nor), you may already look at stock settings if you have managed to successfully place a pre -order.
Producer PNY may just have you covered there as it has just announced and released its new lineup of Microsd Express card. Compatible with Nintendo Switch 2 (and replacement of the previous MicroSD format), PNY’s memory card can be purchased from the brand’s site now or with participating retailers soon.
PNY’s MicroSD Express settings are available in two sizes. The 128 GB card can be purchased for $ 44.99 (about £ 39.99), while the 256 GB card – which matches the size of Switch 2’s internal warehouse – can be picked up for $ 55.99 (approximately £ 49.99).
Furthermore, the 128 GB card has read and write speeds of 890 MB/s and 550 MB/s respectively. Meanwhile, the 256 GB card has the same reading speed, but an improved writing speed of 750 MB/s, making it faster of the two.
So why should you buy a MicroSD Express card at or around the launch of Nintendo Switch 2? After all, the system even boasts 256 GB, which is a huge improvement over the original Nintendo Switch’s 32 GB (or 64 GB at Nintendo Switch OLED).
When you take into account that Switch games are compatible with Switch 2, you may want the extra peace of mind if you transfer your library and save to your new console. Especially as your old MicroSD cards are not compatible with Switch 2. If you want to carry the whole lot without any problems, having a MicroSD Express card ready to go save you headache by picking and choosing which games you want to transfer.
When it was said if you just plan to get stuck with one or two games at the launch, such as Mario Kart World or Street Fighter 6At You can afford to love to pick up a MicroSD Express card until Switch 2’s library is growing over the next few years.
