A police officer was shot by unidentified attacks in Karachi’s Orangi city near Khairabads AMAN CHOWK, reported Express News.
The officer, who was identified as 40-year-old Imran, was critically wounded in the attack and succumbed to his wounds while being transported to the hospital.
According to reports from the CHHIPA authorities, the officer was in uniform and on duty in the Manghopir police station area at the time of the attack.
The original investigations suggest that three unknown attacks were hunting and shot the officer.
The SSP West spokesman confirmed that police have recovered seven shells of the crime scene and further investigations are underway.
Sindh -Governor Kamran Tessori had previously called for urgent action to tackle street crimes and public security and called for quick answers such as the arrest of AFAQ Ahmed. In a meeting with the federal minister Mohsin Naqvi, Tessori also discussed security, law enforcement and promotion of cricket that praised the renovation of the National Stadium.
Meanwhile, MQM chairman AFAQ Ahmed, along with 10 others, was detained to legal custody of charges related to encouraging violence, including the combustion of a tanker in Landhi.
The prosecutor claimed it was a terrorist act while the defense attributed to public frustration over the issue of Live being claimed by fast dumpers in the city.
The court had later rejected by the custody request and sent Ahmed to prison.
