Bannu:
Police rejected a terrorist attack on their Fateh Khel post on the outskirts of Bannu City and killed three terrorists in a harsh exchange of fire in which a brave policeman laid his life, police said Sunday.
Unidentified terrorists launched a tough attack on police speech late last night using small and heavy weapons. Police responded immediately and participated in a heavy exchange of fire and neutralized three attackers while they wounded several others, they said.
During the intense shot fight, a brave policeman embraced martyrdom and put his life in defense of the country, they added. Security forces have launched a search operation in the area to understand the remaining militants and eliminate any lingering threats.
Police said 40 to 50 terrorists attacked the checkpost, adding that three terrorists were killed by the firefighter, who lasted more than an hour. Blood stains and abandoned footwear on stage suggested that the fugitive terrorists were lingering their wounded accomplices, officials said on stage.
Deputy Inspector General (You) from Bannu Range Sajjad Khan and District Police Officer (DPO) Saleem Abbas Kulachi immediately reached the place of the meeting and famous police skill.

The funeral beans for Martyred Constable Rooh Niaz Khan were offered on Bannu -police lines on Sunday morning, which was participated by you Khan, DPO Kulachi, Relatives and other police officers. In the apartment, DPO Kulachi said that Bannu police were fully capable of confronting terrorists.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the martyred constable and said he achieved the highest martyrdom by sacrificing his life in the duty of duty. “Police bravely fought the Indian sponsored terrorists who attacked at night,” he said.
KP and Balochistan have witnessed an uptick in terrorist attacks in recent months. A report says militant attacks in July increased by 5% compared to June.
Last month, there was a slight increase in militant violence, after a brief fall in the previous month, the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS) said in its monthly report published last week.
The report said 82 militant attacks were registered across the country in July, resulting in the death of 101 people and damage to 150 others. Among those killed were 47 civilians, 36 security staff and 18 militants.
In contrast, the report said June saw 78 militant attacks, resulting in 100 fatalities and 189 injuries. Julien’s number indicated an increase of 5% in the militant attacks compared to the previous month, the report added.
KP remained episent to such attacks carrying brown of 53 assaults. It was followed by Balochistan with 28 attacks. According to the report, no militant incidents were reported from Punjab, Sindh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) or Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT).
The report also highlighted intensified countermilitity operations of the security forces, resulting in the killing of 106 militants and arrest of 69 suspected operators in July.
