Kyren Lacy’s lawyer presented potential evidence in an attempt to prove innocence to the late LSU star of charges he was facing before committing suicide in April.
Lacy was under investigation in Louisiana in connection with a crash in December leaving 78-year-old Herman Hall, a passenger, dead, said officials in January. He was accused of driving careless-fast and passing in a zone without passage-when the driver turned to avoid lacy and crashed into another vehicle.
In an interview with HTV10, however, Lacy’s lawyer, Matthew Ory, delivered video that seems to show Lacy’s vehicle well behind the crash and that he was more than 200 meters away from the cars by influence.

“We know from data that Kyren Lacy actually passed four cars. There is no displacement of it. Further north, Kyren Lacy passed four cars,” began Ory.
“However, he was back in his course with travel, 92.3 yards – back in his course – behind Mr. Hall. At the time of the impact he is 72.6 meters behind the vehicles at the time of the impact. Keywords: Behind the vehicles. That’s not how this story was ever painted. Never.”
ORY also provided data that showed another vehicle, “Vehicle 2”, tailoring the truck that crashed into the vehicle hall was almost 50 km / h only 0.5 seconds behind it and 1.5 seconds before the crash. ORY also delivered Bodycam recordings by an officer who spoke to a man in the truck claiming that the driver of Vehicle 2 “caused the” accident, despite police being told the man to write down details of Lacy in his statement, which was ultimately denied.

Louisiana State Police released the following statement to Pakinomist Digital in response to ORY’s evidence.

“No one disputes he was behind the accident scene. His swinging, passing cars and reckless operations caused the series with crash events.”
