Louisiana State Police released a “critical incident briefing video” after Kyren Lacy’s lawyer presented evidence in an attempt to prove innocence from the late LSU star of charges he was facing before he died of suicide in April.

The video then shows Bodycam recordings of a similar officer who speaks to a witness-leader of the red 18-wheel seen on surveillance. This witness said the driver of a gold car heading north jerked on his or her brakes as Lacy’s charger approached, causing a female driver in a Kia Cadenza behind the gold car to hover into the southbound lane to avoid the truck. Cadenza then crashed into the Kia Sorrento carrier who went south.

Police said “several witnesses” told the officers of Lacy’s driving caused the crash.
Another witness said “she had no choice” but moving out of the way, according to police.

Rocky Arceneaux, Lacy’s agent, said in January that his client cooperated with the authorities in the investigation.
Lacy transferred to LSU in 2022. He had his best season in 2024 when he recorded 58 catches in 866 yards and nine touchdowns.
