A polio campaign monitor, Hafiz Qadir Jan, was shot to death in the Killi Thekedar area of the provincial capital while increasing attention among parents about the upcoming vaccination drive.
According to police, unidentified assailants opened fire against him and killed him on the spot before fleding on a motorcycle. Shortly after the attack, local residents and police reached the stage and moved the body to Civil Hospital for Post-Mortem. Police also begin an investigation into the incident.
Hafiz Qadir Jan, who also served as a local leader of Jui-F, was a well-known figure in the district.
