The campaign, which will begin officially on April 21, spans five days and aims to vaccinate over 6,537 million children under five throughout the province.
For the smooth execution of the drive, 35,460 trained polio worker teams have been formed, while about 50,000 security staff will be implemented to ensure the team’s safety.
When he spoke at the launch event, the province’s supreme political and administrative leadership confirmed their strong commitment to eradicating poliovirus from the region. They emphasized that the government would continue to conduct antipolio campaigns regularly to ensure that any child is protected from this paralyzing disease.
Health advisor highlighted the role of government machines, the health department and law enforcement authorities in the collective efforts to eliminate polio. He emphasized the importance of vaccination and said the health department improves the immunization system to protect children from polio and 12 other preventable diseases.
He urged parents and all segments in the community to fully cooperate with Frontline -Health Workers visiting home during the campaign and to ensure that their children receive polio drops for a healthy future.
Chief Secretary emphasized in its comments the government’s proactive measures to overcome challenges and ensure that each child under five receives polio drops to prevent lifelong disability. He called on the media to play an important role in raising awareness of social level about the importance of polio vaccination and other immunization programs.
Shahab Ali Shah, who praised the merciless efforts and victims of front -line health workers and security staff, referred to them as national heroes.
“The consistent, well -organized and successful campaigns in the province would not have been possible without their dedication,” he said.
