Islamabad:
The Power Division has moved the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) to enforce a uniform customs for electricity consumers across the country.
Nepra will hold a hearing on July 1 on the petition. The federal government has submitted an application in accordance with the rules 1998 Section 17. It was submitted in the petition that the subsidy and rationalization of the disco’s interest is included in the proposed customs.
The initiative is taken to set uniform rates across the country. The uniform duty is proposed to be determined from July 1st. According to NEPRA, the consultation will consider the request of the federal government.
