RAWALPINDI:
Saeed Yousaf Khan, supported by PPP, has won the Rawalpindi High Court Bar Association elections. According to the results, Khan secured 1,520 votes to be elected president of the association.
Qasim Mehmood Malik was elected General Secretary after securing 887 votes. Shazia Yousaf was elected senior vice president while Naila Firdous secured the post of vice president. Fahad Fayyaz was elected joint secretary.
After the announcement of the results, jubilant lawyers celebrated in the High Court premises, chanting slogans, performing bhangra, distributing sweets and dancing to the beat of drums.
