Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has completed the events for a larger public collection held at Hattri Ground, Hyderabad, April 18. Preparations were reviewed during an important meeting chairman of the senior PPP leader Faryal Talpur in her residence, according to a statement from the party.
During the meeting, party leaders underwent detailed logistical and administrative preparations for the Hyderabad Division Rally, which is expected to draw a large number of participants. It was confirmed that the rally begins at 1 p.m. 18 on April 18 under the leadership of PPP -President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Talpur, who approached the participants, described the event as a “public referendum” against controversial development projects on the Indus River. She repeated PPP’s firm attitude towards any attempt to divert the waters of the river and called Indus “Sindh’s lifeline.”
“If the water in the Indus River is redirected, Sindh will be Golde,” she warned. “We reject any kind of technique on the river and require water distribution to be transparent according to the 1991 agreement.”
Talpur emphasized that the people of Sindh, especially the youth, are united with chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari by defending the province’s hiking rights.
The meeting was attended by a series of prominent party leaders, including Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, PPP-Central leader Makhdoom Jamil-Uz-Zaman, PPP Sindh-President Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Minister of the Interior Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar, Provincial Minister’s Ali Zardari and Muhammad Ali Malkani, and Specialists Specialists Ali Hassan Zardari and Muhammad Ali Malkani, and and Specialists Specialists Ali Hassan, and Qasim Naveed Qamar. Other notable participants included Sohail Anwar Sial, Rafiq Ahmed Jamali, Shafqat Shah Sherazi, Riaz Shah Sherazi, Sikandar Shoro, Pir Mujeeb and Rawal Sharjeel Memon.
