PPP will observe on the 46th year of death for party -founder, deceased Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (Zab), with a public rally in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Friday (today), who will be treated by President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
PPP SINDH Secretary General and Special Assistant to Chief Minister, Waqar Mehdi, on Thursday told The Express Pakinomist that President Asif Ali Zardari would not address the public collection due to ill health.
Mehdi said the preparations for the anniversary had ended when caravans for people from all over the country had begun to arrive at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh. Strict safety arrangements were also made for the anniversary.
A number of anniversary events begin in the morning with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and Fateha. This will be followed by Naat Khawani and a Mushaira. The public collection starts at. 17, begins with speeches from different party leaders and ends with Bilawal’s address.
On the anniversary, Bilawal and Zardari picked up the rich tribute to the deceased party founder and promised to continue his mission to make Pakistan a developed, independent and folk-friendly country.
In their separate messages, they said Shaheed Bhutto revolutionized the country’s economy, agriculture and industrial sector, giving the working class the opportunity. They added that Zab gave Pakistan a progressive and unanimous constitution and strengthened the country’s defense with nuclear technology.

“He stabilized a broken country, lifted the spirit of the nation, and put Pakistan on the path of progress. His diplomatic brilliance ensured the release of 90,000 prisoners of war from Indian captivity.”
