PPP spare parts PML-N, Slams PTI Error

PPP Central Leadership, aware of the sensitivity of its election alliance with PML-N, has been careful with its comments on flood relief in Punjab. However, it has targeted the PTI-led government in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for its alleged failure to deal with recent floods. PPP Central Secretary Information Nadeem Afzal Chan and Punjab General Secretary Syed Hassan Murtaza, who approached a news conference at the Central Secretariat in Islamabad on Friday, said the party avoided point scoring. They argued that in KP, where PTI has been in power for 13 years, the flood situation had worsened due to illegal interventions and the timber. Chan said PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari had visited flooding areas nationwide and even praised the Punjab government during his stop in Kasur.

"Although flooding has caused massive destruction in Punjab, in KP there are problems with the timber and intervention," The PPP leaders said and demanded a study. "PTI’s incompetence in KP has been fully exposed."

They noted that Bilawal had suggested Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, that relief funds are distributed through Benazir Income Support Program (Bisp) data. However, the Punjab government distributes reliefs on the basis of favorite, they claimed. Chan added that PPP had submitted decisions in the Senate, the National Assembly and all four provincial assemblies, which required the launch of bisp placement in flood-affected areas. He complained that farmers had not received sufficient support. In Punjab, he said, some good work has been done, but elsewhere it was limited to Tiktok appearances.

"The best work was done by Rescue 1122. Favorite is prevalent in Punjab, although the government has a digital system to be used. Farmers suffer and cry for help. The government must also present the case of climate change to the world."

Hassan Murtaza said the destruction in Punjab was "In addition to description." Faisalabad Division, he added, was the hardest hit. He noted that in Katcha (Riverine) areas where livestock is the most important source of livelihood, the damage was severe.

"Even today, the government violates the dignity and privacy of farmers and peasants. Citizens themselves through self -help rehabilitation the victims," he said. Murtaza even praised Patwaris (officials in the land revenue), often seen negatively and said they had taken the majority of relief work in various places. "People’s livestock has been swept away, causing the greatest financial loss. They have been destroyed because of wrong government policies."

He urged the government to "come to the senses," To say that institutions created for floods and earthquakes must be revised. "Each year, damage occurs – why no permanent measures have been taken to prevent such losses?" He asked. Party’s Senior Vice President of Central Punjab and the former Federal Minister of Climate Change, Rana Farooq Saeed, coming from the outskirts of Faisalabad said "No real relief work" was visible in Punjab. "The PML-N government does not know the first thing about relief activities," he said.
