Predators’ Jonathan Marchessault, Andrew Brunette Disavow Anthem Booing: ‘Really Didn’t Like It’

Nashville -predator star Jonathan Marchessault and head coach Andrew Brunette rejected booing of the American and Canadian national hymns, which has become a trend over the past few days.

Ottawa Senators fans booed “The Star-Spangled Banner” when it was sung this weekend when Canadians responded to President Donald Trump’s customs plan for Canada. In return, predator fans “O, Canada” lived on Monday night when the senators were in town.

“I don’t think it should be said for any hymns,” the Marchessault told a native in Quebec, journalists. “Honestly, the hymn is not made for political views. It is made to respect the veterans of both countries, and I think it’s something that everyone … I think at the end of the day we respect the veterans and People who live in our countries.

Brunette, who is from Ontario, said he believed that everyone’s political views should be set aside to the hymn.

“I don’t like it, I don’t think we should boo either Anthem in both ways,” he said via Tennessean. “The NHL has been about 100 years old and the US and Canada share both this game. I don’t really think there’s a place to booing the hymn.

“You may have your political views and your ideas, but I just think both countries have been amicable for so long. They’ve been partners in the big game hockey. I just don’t think that’s the right thing to do I can Really dislike it.

Anthem Booing also took place when Toronto Raptors hosted Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.

Earlier Monday, Trump announced a break at Customs in Canada and Mexico.
