‘Predicted deceased quota employment valid’

.

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Constitutional Court (FCC) has ruled that appointments made under the government’s job quota scheme for relatives of deceased or disabled employees remain valid if they were made before the scheme’s abolition.

In its judgement, the court upheld the decision of the Sindh High Court (SHC) Larkana Circuit Bench and declared the appointments of all ten petitioners legal. The court also dismissed the appeals filed by the Sindh government.

The verdict was delivered by Judge Aamer Farooq in a case about the deceased’s quota policy.
