President diagnosed with Covid

Islamabad:

Personal Doctor of President Asif Ali Zardari, Dr. Asim Hussain confirmed on Wednesday that the president had tested positively for Covid-19, adding that his state of health was steadily improving.

In a statement from the president’s press wing, Dr. Asim that a dedicated team of medical experts closely monitored his condition and provided the necessary medical treatment.

Dr. Asim Hussain also declared that the president had been asked to remain isolated due to the nature of the disease.

President Zardari was moved to a private hospital in Karachi from Nawabshah – after experiencing health problems.

Separately rejected Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon reports on Zardari’s health and said his health improved.

In a statement, Memon said that reports suggesting that President Zardari was moved to Dubai for medical treatment was not true and that the latter would soon recover completely.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had asked about President Zardari’s health via a phone call.

The prime minister asked for the early recovery of the president, adding that prayers from all over the nation were with the president.

National Assembly speaker Ayaz Sadiq held a telephone conversation with President Zardari to ask about his well -being.

The NA speaker expressed his best wishes for the president’s health and asked for his rapid recovery. During the conversation, Sadiq conveyed his hopes for Zardari’s full recovery.

Sindh -Governor Kamran Tessori had also contacted President Zardari’s doctor Dr. Asim Hussain to inquire about the head of state and wish him well.
