President Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting with China’s leading Li Qiang in Beijing on Thursday to discuss the sustained and deeply rooted “strategic cooperative partnerships throughout the weather between the two countries.

“The China Pakistani economic corridor (CPEC) has played a key role in promoting regional ties and promoting economic development,” said President Zardari, emphasizing the strategic significance of the initiative of both nations.

Leaders also discussed the expansion of collaboration under CPEC 2.0, especially in areas such as renewable energy, science and technology, infrastructure and agriculture.

“China’s continued support for Pakistan’s development agenda is crucial, and we are obliged to elaborate on our cooperation in these key sectors,” said President Zardari.

Both sides also addressed the potential for increased trade and financial cooperation through business-to-business and private sectors. They agreed to promote larger people-to-people and cultural exchanges to further solidify the bilateral relationship.

As part of the ongoing cooperation, several agreement morandums (Mous) were signed between Pakistan and China during the visit.

The MOUs include agreements between Pakistan’s Thatatta Cement Company and China’s Ching Gang Construction Group, aiming to increase cement production in Pakistan by another 5,000 tonnes per year. Day.

A Mou was also signed between Sindh Energy Department and China’s Meng Yang Renewable Energy Company to explore joint renewable energy projects in Pakistan.

Furthermore, a coal-gasis and urinary production plant between the government in Sindh and a Chinese company was also formalized.

The signing ceremony participated in the most important Pakistani officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.
