President, Prime Minister enlargement 78. Independence Day Greetings to Nation

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for unity beyond departments and personal interests of a prosperous Pakistan as the country celebrates its 78th Independence Day today.

President Zardari conveyed his crimes to the people and highlighted the importance of national cohesion and the need for sustained efforts against the welfare of the country.

He noted that the success of Marka-E-Haq and Operation Bunyan-Um-Marsoos reflected the country’s unwavering national will and unity form. This victory, he added, has increased public confidence, restored beliefs in national institutions and elevated Pakistan’s status on the global scene.

Zardari also expressed solidarity with the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and repeated Pakistan’s steadfast diplomatic, moral and political support until their right to self -determination is achieved.

His message was widely carried by state media and relocated by Pakistani diplomatic missions abroad, emphasizing today’s significance to the diaspora.

Similarly, Prime Minister Shehbaz expanded “heartfelt crimes” to the nation and brought the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad. In his official announcement of Independence Day, he emphasized unity and collective dedication to Pakistan’s development.

Parliamentary leaders attended the festivities, where Senate President Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani issued a statement through the Senate Office on X, and called on the nation to unite in purpose and commit to moving forward.

He said the victims of the elders and leaders will always remain an indicative light, adding that Pakistan is the fruit of Allama Iqbal’s dream and leadership of Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Protection and preservation of independence he emphasized, is every Pakistani duty, and progress requires to work on political affiligresses.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar expanded heartfelt criminal circuits to the nation on the 78th day of Independence, which pays tribute to the immortal victims of Pakistan’s ancestors and confirms the country’s resilience.

DAR urged citizens to remain together, protect democratic values and collectively build a strong, dignified and prosperous Pakistan.

Pakistan International Airlines held celebration under its network to mark the 78th Independence Day.

According to Pia’s feed and reports on social media, the crew ended passengers in cake cutting ceremonies, national songs were played on board, and children traveling on aircraft received chocolate as part of the festivities.
