President, Prime Minister tribute to Quaid at 77.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday paid tribute to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s “unmatched leadership and selfless struggle” to secure dignity and independence for Pakistanis.

On his 77 -year year of death, the day was observed with prayers, tribute and a renewed promise to maintain his principles of unity, faith and discipline.

Ceremonies were held over Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), where social and civil society’s forums remembered Jinnah’s leadership in uniting Muslims in the subcontinent under the hero Indian Muslim league and securing a separate homeland.

The Government of Pakistan’s official X handle also shared a tribute and remembered Jinnah’s leadership.

Senate’s chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani called Jinnah “a symbol of integrity, justice and the rule of law”, which emphasized that democratic institutions and people’s unity were the real strength of realizing his dream.

“Every citizen, regardless of religion, throwing or creed, must enjoy equal rights and opportunities – this was Jinnah’s faith and must remain our compass,” he said.

The day began in Karachi with the Koran Khawani and Fateha at Quaid’s Mausoleum, participated by political leaders, officials and citizens from all walks of life.

Sindh minister Zia-Ul-Hassan Lanjar said Jinnah’s message of unity and resilience remained an indicative light for the nation. “Pakistan is the result of Quaid-E-Azam’s dream and victims that we all need to protect,” he added.

Sindh-Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon linked Jinnah’s values ​​to the collective efforts to contemporary challenges after the recent rain and urban floods. “This is a national emergency that cannot be handled by the government alone; public cooperation is extremely necessary,” he said, while he was updated on flooding efforts.

Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab also approached the media on the occasion, promising that the development work that was stopped by the rain would resume this Sunday. “If all stakeholders perform their role with sincerity, the city can move forward in the spirit of unity, faith and discipline,” he noted.

Public and private institutions together with cultural bodies, organized seminars and conversations that highlight Jinnah’s state crew and political struggle.

Radio Pakistan and Pakistan -tv released special programs that revised its life and inheritance.

All over the country, the speeches repeated the same message: Jinnah’s vision of justice, sacrifice and discipline is still the nation’s strongest roadmap to navigate today’s crises.
