President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expanded their inner greetings to the nation before Eid Ul Fitr. In their messages, they emphasized the importance of gratitude, fraternity and compassion and urged people to remember those facing financial difficulties.
President Zardari highlighted the importance of Zakat, charity and fitrana, and emphasized that real happiness comes from sharing with the less lucky ones. He reminded the nation that Eid is a reward after a month of patience and devotion in Ramadan.
“Eid teaches us unity and solidarity. We need to strengthen these bonds and contribute to Pakistan’s progress,” he said, adding prayers to the people of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate Eid in peace.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his message, emphasized the challenges facing Pakistan from both internal and external threats. He called for national unity to counter extremism, hatred and sectarianism and ensure the country’s stability and security.
He praised the victims of the armed forces in the fight against terrorism and expanded solidarity to the martyr families, including those affected by the Jaffar Express train event.
Shehbaz also confirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support to the people of Palestine and Kashmir and called on the international community to act against human rights violations.
As Pakistan celebrates Eid, both leaders encouraged citizens to embrace the apartment on the occasion by promoting love, unity and compassion.
