Two women sued Patrick Beverley and claimed they suffered injuries after the former Milwaukee Bucks watched a basketball against their faces from almost point-glossy range.
During his team’s playoff tab to Indiana Pacers, who ended their season, Beverley sat on the bench as he got up and launched a basketball on a female pacers fan sitting behind the team’s bench and hit the tab directly in his head.
He looked to move to get the ball back, and when it was returned, he again threw the ball against another fan who was able to divert it.

Coaches and other players entered the crisis and tried to abuse the situation, but Beverley seemed to continue to exchange words with the fans sitting behind him.
Women claim that they still experience medical expenses, mental qualms, humiliation and lost wages from the incident where they both say they suffered immediate injuries.
Less than a week later, Beverley showed regret and said it was an “unfortunate situation that should never have happened.”
“What I did was bad and it should never have happened. I have to be better and I want to be better. And that should never have happened,” Beverley said On his podcast. “Whatever was said it should never have happened. Simple as that.”
The original reports say it came after a fan said “Cancun at Three,” but Beverley said it was “more than that” and was called a name that is apparently NSFW.

“I’ve been called a lot of things in this league, I haven’t been called it,” he said. “Still unforgivable. It doesn’t matter what was being said. I have to be better and I’ll be better.”
Beverley said security had come up to him earlier in the game and asked if he would have certain fans exposed, but he rejected and said he didn’t even want fans to be kicked out for a simple trash.
“I don’t get any fans kicked out. People who spend money on watching us play. I don’t get them kicked out,” Beverley said.
However, this determined fan crossed the “line.”

“We in Layup -Line. I’m on the bench with the ball. Fan to the right of me says something crazy. I come up to him, ‘Hello man, you can boo me but don’t call me that.’ I go shake (Pacers trainer) Rick Carlisle’s hand, fan says something crazy to me, ”Beverley remembered. “I look, ‘man, you can say anything, just don’t be disrespectful.’ He apologized too.
The NBA suspended him for the incident, but he is currently playing in Israel.
