Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday left for an official visit to Davos, Switzerland to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Conference 2026 from January 19 to 23.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is a Swiss-based non-governmental organization that brings together leaders from the political, business, academic and cultural sectors to discuss global issues. The annual conference held in Davos serves as a platform for world leaders and managers to address economic challenges, global policies and innovative solutions.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Ahad Cheema, Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and other senior officials.
The Prime Minister’s visit will include diplomatic and economic engagements, with several bilateral meetings planned with heads of state and government as well as heads of international organizations.

A key element of the visit will be the Business Roundtable, jointly organized by Pakistan and the WEF, which will bring together leaders from major global companies looking to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan or expand their existing investments.
