Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday visited the house of Pakistan Peoples Party Vice President Senator Sherry Rehman on his arrival in Karachi to express condolences over the death of her daughter, Marvi Khorshed Malik.
Sherry’s daughter died at the age of 35 after suffering a brain haemorrhage on Sunday. She had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Karachi. Her condition worsened three days before her death and required ventilation.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed his grief over the loss and prayed.
“The grief of losing a young child is unbearable for parents,” he said. “There are no words to express the grief of losing a child. May Allah grant the deceased a place in Jannah and grant the family patience,” he added.
