- Prime Video has thrown Lexi Minetree in his Legally Blonde Prequel series.
- It marks Minetre’s first TV leader in her career.
- Reese Witherspoon returns to Executive Product Project, which starred as ELLE WODS in the original Legally Blonde movie in 2001.
Prime Video advertised plans to produce a Legally Blonde The Prequel series last year, and now that the streaming platform has finally thrown its young Elle Woods, we are another step closer to the resuscitation of my ultimate comfort film – and I can’t contain my excitement.
Yesterday (February 13), Amazon MGM Studios and Reese Washerpoon, which stems from the role of ELLE WODS in the film in 2001, announced that Lexi Minetree (Law and Order: SVU & Murduugh murders) has been thrown as the lead in the new Prime Video Series titled ElleFollowing Deadline’s report that Minetree and Madison Wolfe were the remaining two challengers of the role. This will be Minetreee’s first TV role, which is speculated in arriving at one of the best streaming services at the end of 2025.
Witherspoon published the message on Instagram (see below), sending a video of her telling Minetree the good news personally who said: “We had to make a really tough decision here during the day and we would tell you personally , because you just worked really hard. And we just wanted to tell you that you don’t have to try anymore because you got that part. You are Elle Woods ”.
What can you expect from Prime Video’s ELLE?
Although we do not have an accurate date for Prime Video’s Legally Blonde Second Prequel series than its rumored arrival until the end of 2025, the streaming platform has given insight into what we can expect to see from its history. When she takes place before her venture into Harvard Law School, the series follows a young Elle Woods in her days in high school, where she chronizes her past life and experiences that helped her become the icon that we know and love from the movie .
It is no argument that Reese Witherspoon wore the original film with her unforgettable portrayal of ELLE WODS, and I am relieved that she returns to the world of Legally Blonde As one of the show’s performing producers with Lauren Neustadter and Lauren Kisilevsky and showmaker Laura Kittrell. Since it is confirmed that Washerspoon is involved in the Prime Video Project, I have crossed our fingers that we will be reunited with more familiar faces from the original movie – I’m talking about you, Jennifer Coolidge.
Actually, as far as comfort movies go, Legally Blonde (200r to go over to Stan or MGM to stream the original movie).
