Princess Eugenie marked his sister Princess Beatrice’s birthday with a heartfelt instagram post on Friday, who strikingly omitted their father, Prince Andrew as he faces renewed control of former associations.
Eugenie shared five photographs, four with the sisters together and an inclusive of their mother, Sarah Ferguson. “Happy birthday to my dear Beabea … my big Sissy, the best in the world,” she wrote in the caption.
In particular, the Duke was the Duke of York. The omission comes only a few days after the announcement of the upcoming book Titled: The Rise and Fall of the House of Yorkthat contain harmful accusations of Andrew and Ferguson.
The timing was further complicated by a new interview in Telegraph with Jeffrey Epstein’s former butler, who offered fresh details of Andrew’s friendship with the convicted sex offender.
The renewed attention has resumed a public debate on the prince’s behavior despite his repeated denials of wrongdoing.
Royal Watchers are divided over the omission. Some suggest that Eugenie may have deliberately avoided sending a picture of her father to stay focused on Beatrice and avoid throwing a shadow over the celebration.
Others claim that it could reflect true discomfort over the ongoing controversy.
Meanwhile, Sarah Ferguson also shared a birthday post to celebrate her daughter’s 37 -year birthday, where she showered praise on her oldest daughter for her “love and quite understanding.”
