Prince George is facing ‘troubling’ transition years as he approaches teenhoodhood

Prince George’s 12 -Year Birthday marks emotional turning point

Prince George faces “lots of challenges” as he turns 12 today, claimed an expert, adding that the birthday marks a great moment in Prince William and Kate Middleton’s son’s life.

As the little prince who is number two in line with the British throne is getting ready to enter his teenage years, the expert said this age is a turning point for George.

Talking with The expression, Royal author Duncan Larcombe explained that when children start to grow up quickly, they become more independent.

When he said it is a “gripping birthday” for the young royal, he added, “12 years old is a bit of a crossroads for many children when they grow up.”

“One year more and he wants to be a teenager and he wants to be at another school away from his brother and sister,” he added.

“I think 12 is a pretty happy birthday 12. The kids suddenly age quite soon after 12 – they become little people rather than being a toddler.”

Sharing similar thoughts said the royal expert Jennie Bond that being a “tweenager” comes with “a lot of challenges”, adding, “it seems to George that his world is getting bigger at all levels: physical, mental, emotional and social.”

Bond continued, “He must have already had a very emotional year and a half since his grandfather and his mother were diagnosed with cancer, and now he knows he is in his last year to be wrapped in the familiar blanket of living with his parents and siblings 24/7 before moving to Big School next September.”

“The decision on where to go and study next time has undoubtedly already made, and I’m sure George was very influential in it.

“Nevertheless, it is a big change that hovers on his horizon, and it is definitely quite disturbing.”
